The Northwestern Wisconsin Education Association (NWEA) is a non-profit, self-supporting organization
that presents an annual professional development conference for educators and anyone interested
in education. Each year, over 4,000 individuals converge in Eau Claire, WI to attend the NWEA's two day
conference.
For the past 118 years, the NWEA has strived to provide educators
with the best inservice training avaible. The NWEA is honored and
delighted to present some of the nation's finest speakers, over
200 educational workshops and three large exhibit areas with over
300 tables filled with related material each year. Annually, the
NWEA invests over $100,000 to provide a national quality conference
in the midwest.
The NWEA does not have any ties with any other education associations, any unions or any
political parties. The NWEA is open to all educators including principals, district administrators,
specialists, and any person interested in education.
This year's 118th annual NWEA Conference will be on held October
9 & 10. It will be held at Memorial High School, 2225 Keith
Street, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. From the Twin Cities to Madison,
Wisconsin, this is the largest facility available to the NWEA capable
of handling the approximately 4,000 educators that attend.
