SPEAKER PAYMENT AND REIMBURSEMENT
Membership Fees are Included as Part of Your Speaker Fee
(You will be expected to purchase a $25 membership for entry to the NWEA Conference)

(Memberships may also be purchased at the door during the conference)

The NWEA considers fees paid to presenters at all sessions to be compensation for the time spent in preparing for the presentation. The standard fee for one presenter has been set at $100, for two presenters $50 each, and for three presenters, it is $33 each. Any presentation with more than three presenters will be expected to share the maximum $100 preparation fee. Only one check will be issued, in payment for any presentation with more than three presenters, to the lead speaker. Fees cannot be delegated to others. In addition, a membership ticket will be sent to the presenter before the conference.

If a session is repeated, the preparation fee for the second session will be a maximum of $50. Anyone doing a totally different second presentation will be entitled to the standard fee indicated above. Mileage will be paid at the current rate per mile for presenters out of the area. The maximum limit for mileage is $100. Any changes or additional expenses incurred (including mileage, meals, lodging, or duplicating expenses) must be approved in writing by the NWEA Executive Secretary prior to the conference. Duplicating of materials and expense is the presenter's responsibility.
