Life memberships are made available for those who have retired from the educational field. There is a one-time cost for this membership at the Professional Membership rate or $32.00. After a person has retired, contact the NWEA Executive Secretary. For a one-time fee for the cost of one professional membership, the secretary will send you a "Life Membership." This will allow the person to be a member and attend all future conferences at no additional charge.

Note that many school districts have purchased this membership for their retiring educators as a gift upon retirement

The above standard membership fee is necessary for the NWEA to obtain some of top nationally known speakers. Most other conferences would be charging about $195 to $295 for a similar inservice on the national level. Whether you just become a member, attend the conference one day, or take advantage of both days, you are a member of an organization that provides Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction approved professional development for all educators.
